New Information Page: GMAT Verbal
The GMAT verbal section includes sentence correction, critical reasoning, and reading comprehension. It includes 41 multiple choice questions. This section must be completed in 75 minutes.
The Sentence Correction section tests knowledge of American English grammar, usage, and style.
The Critical Reasoning section tests logical thinking. The questions require the test taker to identify assumptions, reach a conclusion, or recognize strengths or weaknesses in an argument.
The Reading Comprehension section tests the ability to understand text passages.
In addition to the verbal section, the test also includes 2 other parts, the GMAT quantitative section and the GMAT analytical writing assessment.
